North Vs. South

3-27-10 I would like to start and say this website is the creation of NORTH VS. South. My Uncle Brandon created this site for me. Please visit icoastalnet.com and see the REEL FISHING MASTER'S site. Uncle Brandon lives in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. and host this site and is the A-1 web master and fish master. Anyway..enough about him....we have a North Vs. South fishing competition. We have not fished much in the past but Uncle Brandon challenged us and now it is game on!!!! Fished today after baseball practice and the wind was screaming. Dad said the wind was too much but I said let's go anyway. We were driving down the road and passed some very good friends on the road. They were not able to get the boat in the water so we invited them to fish with us. We had 5 people in the jon-boat paddling down the creek. Hit the sand bar and bailed out. We set up and started throwing the 1/4 oz jig head tipped with dead shrimp. First fish was caught by Grandaddy Crews. Pulled him on the sand bar (about a 22 incher) and the hook came out and away he went. We fished for about 2 hours and reeled in about 10 red drum and 3 black drum. Thanks to Thomas, Jeff, Grandaddy Crews and Austin for a great day fishing.
This Blog was written by Chris Bell (Capt Austin's Dad) with the approval of Capt. Austin Bell because he is asleep right now. Also thanks to Carmen Bell (Mom) and Camryn Bell (sister) for being such great supporters of our fishing addiction!!!
Weather:Overcast and warm (60-65 degrees) with the sun showing its face a little. Strong wind at the start, but calmed down. Dead low and tide started coming in quick!!!
