Fishing with Grandma

Grandma came to visit. I had baseball practice at noon but after that I was on the backseat of the truck changing out of baseball pants into my bathing suit, We got to our hole and BAM..Grandma Freda hooks up. She fought the fish and finally landed it. Oh yeah...a 26" spottail..She was so excited and her biggest fish ever..but now..it was my turn..We changed it up this time. We usually fish with a jig head but today it was a flounder rig (2 feet of 20lb test with a 1/2 oz weight and a circle hook). The next one was all mine and 27 inches of brute strength. My dad said this was the heaviest fish of this size we have ever caught. We caught some real nice fish and it was such a cool deal to catch fish with my Grandma Freda while fishing at my other Grandma's (aka Chooch). Fishing is the coolest thing on earth to me. Take your kids and your grandparents because everyone will love it.

PS...Dad wrote this BLOG with the approval of Capt. Austin. Austin told me on this day how much he appreciated his parents (Chris and Carmen Bell) and yes his little sister Camryn too. Take your kids fishing and be patient. Or take your kids and do anything they love and you will never regret it.
