The drum bite is on!!!!!

It all started on March14, 2010

My dad and I planned to go fishing this morning. We thought it was too windy to splash the boat so I said hey lets go to pop and chooch's house. We check the tide to make sure that we arrived in time to fish both sides of the low tide. When we got there we went to the last spot where we caught 13 fish in Nov. We normally fish from the dock when we get there to see if we can pick up some fish. On this day, for some reason, we immediatley slid the jon boat off the dock and paddled down the creek. When we got to the spot there was a little sand bar for us to pull the boat on and for us to stand on and fish. My first cast hit the water and the bite was on for four hours. We (me and dad) fished for two hours and finaly our friends called and wanted to come. We had some 15 inchers and some 28 inchers in those first two hours. My dad paddled around the corner and left me behind. (With my life jacket on). While he was gone I landed two a 17 incher and a 28 incher. When he came back my best friend Colton and Mr.Brett where on there on there way. I knew Colton was going to have a blast. Colton and I caught almost all the fish and we were reeling in all of them while Mr.Brett and my dad where trying to keep up taking pictures.  It was so crazy and the adrenaline was pumping. We had multiple hook ups and one triple. Every time Colton hooked on he was like (you mine or in your face but my fav he said was i busted you up). He did awesome for an 8 year old. Back to the story. Mr.Brett brought a popper cork and a jig head with chartreuse green gold flake screw tail grub. Mr.Brett also brought some frozen shrimp and we swettened the hook and put half of one on but tried to hide the hook. We had a awesome day and took pics of 40 and then we got hooked with trips and could not take any more but we think we caught 60 fish. My dad and I love jigging the bait so when I fish I think "get jiggey with it".

Weather Forcast:

Medium wind, warm sun came in and out frequently.
